The Sheet and Metal Processing Sector Geared Up to Meet its New Leader, SMTECH Eurasia, in Istanbul

In an era marked by record-breaking exports in the Turkish machinery sector, the sheet and metal processing industry is establishing a new and robust platform for engagement. Building upon the extensive experience and know-how garnered from the reputable 21-year history of the Bumatech Fair, SMTECH Eurasia - Sheet, Metal Processing Technologies Fair - will unite all stakeholders within this sector at a strategically located venue in Istanbul, which serves as a vital link between continents.
The exhibition, organized by Tüyap Exhibitions Group, is scheduled to take place from November 5 to 8, 2025, at Halls 1, 2, and 3 of the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center. Despite being in its inaugural year, the event is highly anticipated within the industry, largely due to Bumatech's established reputation, and a significant turnout from both domestic and international companies is expected.

A strategic meeting to ignite export targets
According to data from the Machinery Exporters’ Association (MAİB), Türkiye’s machinery exports reached a new milestone by totaling $28.3 billion in 2024. SMTECH Eurasia aims to establish itself as a key center contributing directly to the national export target of $30 billion, as emphasized by Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Minister of Trade. Additionally, professional visitors and procurement committees from target markets—including Germany, Russia, Iran, Serbia, Algeria, and China—are expected to facilitate new collaboration opportunities within the Turkish machinery industry.

An exhibition evolving alongside the dynamic power of Istanbul’s industry
Istanbul, Türkiye's manufacturing and export hub, strengthens its organizational capabilities through hosting this exhibition. The prominent position of Istanbul-based companies in industrial manufacturing, coupled with the region's dynamic economic structure, makes SMTECH Eurasia a Major center of attraction for both exhibitors and visitors.

The upcoming fair will showcase an extensive array of products, including but not limited to sheet processing technologies, laser cutting and plasma machines, press brakes, roller and profile
bending machines, presses, cutting and holding tools, as well as automation systems and storage solutions.

SMTECH Eurasia is poised to showcase cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions that are poised to transform the industry, thereby further advancing Türkiye's production capabilities and enhancing the global presence of the “Turkish Machine” brand.
